ACO 5.0 - Visual Statement

Our topic is about Ocean Pollution this is important to our group because we don't want to see our oceans get ruined, when we could still do something about it. The message is to spread awareness about how ocean pollution and how to prevent it. The project goal is to make a short film about a issue we care about and put your point of view on it. We also need to have a voiceover over the visuals. Tehinnah is our editor she help out of filming other people on our team. Then we have Kahele  whos helping picking what we should use in our video. Lastly, we have Ben who helped us make nice garage band music for our video.

Then, tell us about the Final Cut Pro editing tips and tricks you've learned and how you incorporated them in your video. Why is it important to use FCPX Libraries, Events and Projects properly? Explain why audio levels in different clips can vary drastically and how to correctly balance what your audience will hear. Which part of your video do you think displays higher quality... the audio or the video and why? (6 sentence minimum)

Finally, describe your biggest challenges during this project and what you did to help overcome them. Explain your group dynamic... who was the driving force toward attaining the project goal and how did the other person help or hinder that progress? Explain the most enjoyable part of this project and conclude with a reflection of your critique results... explain why you agree or disagree with them. (6 sentence minimum)

REQUIRED VISUALS:
1) Embed your Visual Statement video from Google Drive at the top
2) Include 2 screenshots showcasing FCPX editing skills below first paragraph
3) Insert a screenshot your Audio/Video log after the second paragraph
4) Add your results from the class critique before the tags

GOAL: Create a 2-3 minute visual statement that gives your personal view about an issue that is relevant to your audience. Support your high quality voiceover with relevant and proprietary visuals: video, photos or a mix of both. You may also create your own sound effects and Garage Band soundtrack. Finally, work together to skillfully edit all of the pieces together using Final Cut Pro.

DIGITAL PORTFOLIO REFLECTION:
First, explain your topic & message... Why it's important to you and your partners? Then put the project goal into your own words, detailing the project requirements. Link to your partners' digital portfolios and describe their roles on the team and how they contributed to the production of your visual statement. (6 sentence minimum)

ACO 1.0 - Modern Art Movement

In Pop Art it was different from the traditional fine art, pop art was breaking the boundaries. Pop Art had an influence on the communications industry because more of the artist painted for advertising, comic books, or popular things. They contribute to society because they make you open your mind to new things. My personal thoughts on Pop Art is I think that its super cool, with all the bright colors and how it can be everyday items. Its like you can find art in just things you see or use all the time.
Campbell's Soup Can (1963) Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol made the painting I chose one of the well known pop artist. I think that they were trying to show that anything can be art even a soup can. No, because some people are close minded and also people will base their opinions on others opinions. Advances in technology have made new ways to do art. But also I think it could of made it harder for new artist because it’s so different then it was years ago. It’s like people might not be as interested in art like before when art was a huge impact on society.

ACO 7.0 - Workplace Safety Video

My teammate's in this project are Carina and Amine. Carina is an amazing videographer and a specialist in our group as an editor, she's a very talented teammate and makes being in front of the camera fun.I helped out in the video and made the music so it was not silent through out the scenes. I think that Amine deserves deserves special recognition because Amine brought a lot to the team and helped a lot. He helped edit, write the script and come up with what we were going to do in each scene.

My biggest take away on this project was that new way to film and more about the topic about stress and burning out. The communication was good we all had the same idea of what kind of scenes we wanted to film. Our lowest score was on clarity of the audio, which makes sense because we all had different tones and how we all talked at different speeds. Our highest score was at the entertainment value which is good because we grabbed the attention of the audience. Something we could do different is make sure we rehearse before we start recording voice overs.

ACO 5.0 - Coding Altino Cars

GOAL: Complete all 3 coding challenges using Arduino Software with Altino cars. Challenge 1: Complete a figure 8 pattern without collisions... fastest time wins!
Challenge 2: Ambulance responds to an accident... with lights, sirens and SPEED!
Challenge 3: Time to show off your best autonomous driving tricks... Your choice!

I think that coding is an important skill because it helps you learn more about what is going on in the future. When it comes to new inventions in the future like cars or ways to deliver stuff to people. First we go straight turn right, then go speed of 800 , then delay the car. It could be frustrating because the car could be different every time it goes around the track. Also coding was new thing for me for it was kind of difficult to figure out.

Describe the new commands that were required to successfully complete Challenge #2 (While Loop, Array, Display Line, Sound). Would you ever trust an autonomous vehicle to give you a ride... please explain your answer. Do you think autonomous vehicles will be used in the future to carry out complex tasks like an ambulance responding to accidents... why or why not? (6 Sentence minimum)

REQUIRED VISUALS:
Embedded Google Drive video of your most impressive challenge at the top
Screenshot of successful code from Challenge #2 after first paragraph
3 Behind the Scenes photos of your team after second paragraph

ACO 3.0 - Art and Design

In my digital Still Life painting it has lines and has form. With form I used it to make the shape of the camera and the lens. For line I used it to add more details to the picture when it comes to the lens. The size of the brush affects how dark the line will be or how light it will be and also can make a difference when it comes to adding little details. The most difficult with the painting was not making it perfectly match with the photo. The most enjoyable is looking at the outcome of your art and adding the details to the picture.
My landscape image was taken in Colorado in the mountains. The difference between the two are that the landscape image is way more detailed then the still image. Also the landscape has more texture then my still image. They are similar because they both have the line element. I was able to use the advance filter techniques. The outcome of the technique was that the picture came out more detailed and actually like a pencil drawing but on a computer.
The portrait photo I am using is of Carina it was taken in the girls bathroom. What this photo means to me is how funny it is that Carina is happy taking a photo in the bathroom. My final images uses texture and line element. I do agree with them because my still image wasn't even on the post. Also my portrait photo wasn't even finished. My landscape image wasn't super outstanding compared to other people.
